The Ovassapian fiberoptic intubating airway is intended primarily for use in intubations utilizing a fiberoptic endoscope.
- Ideal design allows for removal without disconnecting or displacing positioned endotracheal tube
- Flat lingual surface widens gradually at distal end
- Flexible curved guides between vertical side walls at the buccal end permit removal of the airway from around a tracheal tube
- Tubular proximal half functions as a bite block
- Distal half is open posteriorly to provide fiberscope maneuverability
- Fits Tube sizes 8.0mm - 9.0mm ID
